Coachella had Atarashi Gakko a few months ago. I seem to be ON THEIR Band Wagon. I am promoting them even though there is no hit song to play on my radio show. It is NOT a matter of vocal talent but rather incredible presentation skill, showmanship! They don’t mind speaking a little English, and they sometimes teach a little Japanese as part of the show. The use of drums from the USC band reminds me of TUSK from Fleetwood MAC way back in 1980.
Politically, I lean toward this Kennedy not that one. I mean not Bobby’s son RFK Junior. Sometimes he makes sense, but if he cannot get the endorsement of his cousin Caroline, I cannot give him mine. Caroline was the ambassador to Japan for the second Obama term but now is the Ambassador for the U.S. to Australia.
I have lived in Japan for a while, and it makes me sad when members of the U.S. military die because this particular aircraft was poorly conceived after many years and many millions spent. It is an airplane that can become a helicopter, but then it cannot. If ever again a crew is asked to fly the CV-22 Osprey and tilt the rotors in flight, a least two engineers from the manufacturer should be required to ride along.
I am a foreigner in Japan for more than 30 years. John makes the Only in Japan YOU TUBE channel, and the vid from him here makes the point that recently there are some who behave badly and make the good foreigners like me, by association, look not so good. Much of what he talks about is particular to Tokyo. I am in Shizuoka about an hour out by fast train.
