Burr and Anka are talking; ELVIS is the topic
Like Bill Burr I never met Elvis. Paul Anka met Elvis Presley and years later hung out with Elvis. I did, however, meet two guys who sang behind Elvis. I met and hung out with Hugh Jarrett who was a member of the Jordanires, a group that sang behind Elvis for early recordings, and too I think I saw Hugh behind Elvis in the movie King CREOLE. The other guy was J. D. Sumner who was with Elvis on stage in Las Vegas and might have set a record for singing a low note. Met Hugh when he and I were part-time personalities in the 80s at WSB Radio in Atlanta. Met J. D. in the 70s when he visited WPAD Radio in Paducah, Kentucky.
